Healed secondary penile lesion in a 30-year-old cisgender man with HMPX.
Located on the foreskin overlying the base of the penile shaft is a healed lesion, imaged at lesion day 25. This lesion presented in a secondary crop of lesions, was initially 10 mm in diameter, was re-epithelialized by lesion day 18, and is seen here now with fading hypopigmentation and minimal hypertrophy.
There was no history of immunocompromising conditions or medications. This man was on Truvada for HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis. He also received Imvamune for HMPX pre-exposure prophylaxis 3 days before illness onset.
